- About Hudson Mission Group
Helping employers understand the talent behind the uniform.
Hudson Mission Group helps organizations recognize, integrate, develop, and lead veteran talent. The company was built on a simple belief: veterans should not carry the full burden of translating themselves into the civilian workplace.

Stephen Hudson
Retired U.S. Navy veteran, corporate leader, educator, curriculum developer, business owner, and author of the Mission-Driven book series.
- Why Hudson Mission Group exists
The gap is not talent.
It is translation.
Veterans leave military service with deep experience in leadership, operations, technology, logistics, risk management, teamwork, accountability, decision-making, and mission execution. Employers often need a stronger framework for recognizing that value and building workplaces where it can thrive.
- Employer-side readiness
The talent is present. The systems and fluency often are not.
Military experience is often communicated through unfamiliar titles, terminology, structures, and career paths. That can cause employers to miss real business capability.
The challenge does not end after hiring. Managers may be unprepared for the transition from military to corporate culture, and onboarding may focus on administration rather than integration.
Hudson Mission Group helps employers strengthen the practices and leadership capabilities required to recruit, hire, onboard, manage, retain, develop, and lead veteran talent.
- About Stephen K. Hudson
A rare view of both sides of the military-to-corporate transition.
Stephen K. Hudson is the founder of Hudson Mission Group, LLC. He served 20 years in the United States Navy before entering the civilian workforce.
His post-military career includes nearly two decades of corporate, executive, business, education, and organizational leadership experience.
Stephen has experienced the challenge of translating military service into civilian value. He has also worked from the employer and leadership side, where organizations must assess talent, develop people, build effective teams, and produce measurable results.
He brings these perspectives together to help employers better understand military talent and create the conditions in which veteran employees can contribute, grow, and lead.
Retention is not simply an employee issue.
It is a leadership metric.
- More than experience
A framework for learning, not a motivational talk.
Hudson Mission Group’s workshops are shaped by Stephen’s military experience, corporate leadership, and approximately a decade of education and curriculum-development work, including university-level teaching.

Employers must also prepare.
Many veteran employment efforts focus primarily on preparing veterans to enter the civilian workplace. That work matters, but it addresses only one side of the challenge. Hudson Mission Group focuses on the employer side of the equation.
Prepare recruiters to recognize military experience.
Prepare hiring managers to conduct stronger conversations.
Prepare supervisors to lead veteran employees.
Prepare systems to support onboarding, development, retention, and advancement.
Prepare executives to measure results and accept accountability.
